As a Mocality agent, you will be required to add businesses to our online business directory. First you will need an internet enabled mobile phone. You can earn more if your phone has a camera and is capable of uploading photos.

  1. Adding a business means entering the business’s details, including the business name, phone number, address and the categories that best describe the business. You will get paid a basic amount for this. *
  2. Mocality moderators will then call the business to verify the details you entered.
  3. When a moderator calls the business and finds that the details are correct, they will approve the business and you will earn a larger amount. *
  4. If you upload a clear, legible photo of the business name on a sign, you earn yet a larger amount. *

How do I become an agent?
All you need is an internet enabled phone. Go to www.mocality.co.ke/money and register for free. To earn more money, use a phone capable of taking photos of the businesses you add.

How do I add a business?
As a registered agent, sign in and select the link ‘Add businesses’, then follow the four step process. If you are not registered as an agent, first register at www.mocality.co.ke/money.

How and when do I get paid?
We process payments once a day from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. When your earnings add up to 1,000/= or more, we will pay you the full amount. We do not subtract withholding tax so the maximum you may earn in a month is 24,000/=. We encourage Mocality agents to register an M-PESA account so when you withdraw your money from an M-PESA agent, the withdrawal fees are lower.

Can I add businesses in any town / city?
New cities and towns are frequently being added to our system, but you can only add businesses in the cities that are currently available on Mocality. If you do not see your town listed when you register, please go to m.mocality.co.ke/more and add your details. We will notify you know when your town gets included.

What types of businesses should I add?
Any business that has a permanent address can be added to Mocality. Photos of the business name on a sign board are acceptable as proof. You must physically go to the business to verify that it exists. You may not add a business by copying the details from another source.

Where can I get a Mocality ID?
We currently provide Mocality ID cards for agents in the cities where we are active. Individual collection points are listed below:

What can I do if I have a technical problem with the Mocality site?
Try clearing the browser cache on your mobile phone, or try using a different phone if possible. Mocality.com is supported on most handsets, but newer phones will generally allow you to work faster and earn more money.

What can I do if I made an error in the information I submitted?
Our moderators will correct small errors, but will reject businesses that have incorrect phone numbers. You will be able to resubmit rejected businesses in the near future.
